This is a beautiful, but incomplete, enrolled Phacops trilobite
specimen. The eyes are magnificently faceted. The shell is black,
contrasting with the rich grey shale. The head and first 5 thoracic
segments are present and fully shelled, however it appears that the
remainder of this trilobite are absent. The specimen is very pretty and
displayable.
This trilobite was obtained from an old collection.
