Featured is a beautiful,
prone, 3D Devonian trilobite, Odontochile syncramma, collected from the
famous Bois d’Arc Formation in Clarita, Oklahoma. This dalmanitid’s
faceted eyes are nicely preserved, especially the left eye.
The specimen is essentially complete, with both genal spines, the
pygidial spine, and the cephalic processes are present. The only flaw,
significant on the right side, is the thoracic segments are missing.
The left side is fine. Keep in mind that this is an uncommon species.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection. I reprepped the
specimen to clean out the grooves and smooth out the matrix. This is a
very fine piece!
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
